BARCO SHOWBEAM 2.5 2500W WASH FIXTURE PRODUCING 140,000 LUMENS

The High End Systems SHOWBEAM 2.5 automated wash luminaire features a jointly developed Philips MSR 2500-watt lamp source. A smooth field, soft-edge illumination is produced using a new radial lenticular homogenizing lens system that provides the fixture with a signature look on stage. In addition, the dedicated wash light includes a user changeable fixed color wheel, a variable CTO, a full CMY color mixing system and the ability to produce an 11-degree fixed hard-edge profile with fast color change and Electronic Strobe. The hard/soft-edge profile can be rapidly zoomed from 11 to 33 degrees. A revolutionary patent pending effect, the Twin Beam, can be produced whereby two discrete hard-edge beams exit the fixture upon operator command, with variable control over the Twin Beam deviation and rotation speed with little degradation of brightness. The Twin Beam can also be varied by adding incremental color via the CMY color mixing system. SHOWBEAM 2.5 incorporates the renowned LED tracking system that encircles the lens, a feature that debuted with its SHOWGUN predecessor. Creative Lighting CTO Richard Belliveau says, “The engineering team set out on a mission to produce a new automated wash light with earth shattering light output. We more than accomplished that goal while including some never-before-seen visuals that will be sure to excite today's audiences.”

BARCO SHOWGUN 2.5 2500W HARD EDGE FIXTURE PRODUCING 130,000 LUMENS

Distinctive in design, SHOWGUN 2.5 is, in essence, a very large and powerful automated light that can project images, change and mix dichroic colors, and switch from hard-edge to soft-edge all within a compact system. This new version of SHOWGUN has 30 percent more photonic output than its predecessor. SHOWGUN provides entertainment lighting design possibilities in three dimensions: first, in the air with high-energy focused or soft edge beams; second, with images projected on the stage surface; and third, at the SHOWGUN fixture itself by using an innovative LED Tracking System. A new patent pending optical design is at the forefront of the "radical rethinking." This optical design incorporates a proprietary, optically accurate polymer microfresnel lens allowing SHOWGUN to produce a true focused hard-edge or a brilliant soft-edge combination, without the need for two separate fixture types. The true focused hard-edge allows SHOWGUN to project HES LithoPattern images, while the soft-edge abilities exceed industry standards. Soft edge/hard edge "enabling" for SHOWGUN is easily accomplished from any lighting console. SHOWGUN's main output uses a 2500 watt short arc metal halide lamp designed as a joint venture between Philips and High End Systems. The MSR 2500/2 lamp uses a novel fast fit socket design that allows for a more compact reflector combination. Combining the high-performance lamp, advanced reflector and revolutionary optical design, SHOWGUN must be seen to be fully appreciated. SHOWGUN's LED Tracking System forces a double take as a unique homogenously mixed RGB LED circular array that allows the user to either match the color of the main output beam, or to project a complementary color by mixing RGB values. The LED Tracking System alone produces more than 5000 lumens of output, and works in tandem with SHOWGUN's other features to redefine the rules of lighting design. SHOWGUN is at the vanguard of today’s lighting design revolution.

BARCO STUDIO PIX 61 3W LED PIXELATION LUMINAIRE PRODUCING 11,500 RGB LUMENS

StudioPix is a hybrid wide-angle moving yoke LED wash light with programmable graphic imaging. It is the second product in High End Systems’ new line of Pixelation Luminaires. Smaller than its predecessor SHOWPIX, StudioPix features a circular array of 61 homogenous 3-watt LEDs on a 13.5-inch diameter head with an output of 11,500 RGB lumens. The pixels offer unlimited possibilities by projecting not just color, but also displaying images and effects that transform the fixture head into a display device. StudioPix is equipped with 411 PixelArt Stock Content animations and patterns for lighting design. Users can also upload their own content through the new HES Echo application, a software program offering content visualization, management and RDM management features. The Echo application optimizes and maps the images to the 61 LED pixels of StudioPix. StudioPix’s features allow for user creativity, including color mixing, rotation, scale, wipes, dissolves, transitions between layers, strobing and dimming. The DMX Scratch feature allows a user to synchronize the frames of a media file to music in real time. Using a pixel mapping protocol, the user may also individually control each LED for more creative programming effects. In addition to creative benefits, StudioPix offers economic benefits. Because there are no lamps to replace, this also means there are no associated labor costs involved. There are also lower maintenance costs because of the fixture’s limited moving parts. This reduces the total cost of ownership as compared to traditional light fixtures.

BARCO SHOW PIX 61 3W LED PIXELATION LUMINAIRE PRODUCING 11,500 RGB LUMENS

SHOWPIX™, a combination high power LED wash light and programmable high intensity graphic image-displaying fixture, represents the first in HES’ new product line of Pixelation Luminaires™. SHOWPIX is another “radical rethinking” lighting product concept by acclaimed inventor and HES Chief Technology Officer Richard Belliveau and his research and development team. SHOWPIX is more than just an LED wash light on a moving yoke. Its 18-inch diameter head features a circular array of 127 homogenous 3-watt LEDs with an output of 24,000 RGB lumens. These pixels offer unlimited visual possibilities by projecting not just washes of color, but also displaying images and other eye-catching effects that transform the fixture head into a display device. SHOWPIX is equipped with a PixelArt™ collection of up to 255 custom created media files and images designed specifically for the product. Users can easily upload their own files and images through the new HES Echo™ application, a software program offering content visualization, management and upload capabilities as well as RDM management features. Instantaneous conversion of many file formats automatically optimizes or “supercharges” the images and maps the files to the 127 LED pixels of SHOWPIX. The user can see this mapping displayed on their computer prior to uploading to the SHOWPIX. SHOWPIX is controlled using a standard DMX lighting console. Many of SHOWPIX’s features allow for user creativity, including color mixing, rotation, scale, wipes, dissolves, transitions between layers, strobing and dimming. In addition, content can be mapped across numerous SHOWPIX fixtures to allow for full stage imagery using a software process called Pixellage™.* Another new feature, DMX Scratch™, allows a user to synchronize the frames of a media file to music during a show in real time. A user-selectable pixel mapping protocol also allows the user to have individual control of each of the 127 LEDs for some creative programming effects. In addition to creative benefits, SHOWPIX offers economic benefits. Because there are no lamps to replace, this also means there are no associated labor costs involved. There are also lower maintenance costs because of the fixture’s limited moving parts. This reduces the total cost of ownership as compared to traditional light fixtures.
